Free lunch pick-up from PAUSD schools
Did you know that you can pick up lunches for your children at JLS, Greene, and Gunn in Palo Alto?
PAUSD will continue to provide nutritious meals to all students who need them during the temporary closure of schools.
Beginning Monday, March 16, PAUSD will provide free lunch to all children 18 and younger at the following pick-up sites:
Families that live in East Palo Alto can also pick up lunches in the Ravenswood School District, if that's easier for them.
This program will be solely for the pickup of meals. Meals are not to be consumed on the school sites. Lunches will be distributed drive-thru style, meaning food services staff members will hand the meals to you in your vehicle. Children do not need to be present in order for meals to be provided.

South Palo Alto Food Closet
This is an organization that can give you free food! To request assistance from them, text Jane at (650) 814-5478. The message should only include the following: your name, and the number of people in your family. She will respond with a time and address for the food pickup.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America
The Boys and Girls Club is a nonprofit organization that is handing out dinners in East Palo Alto.

CalFresh Response to COVID-19
Food benefits are available to individuals and families who have been impacted by COVID-19.
CalFresh provides monthly food benefits based on household income and expenses at the time of application.
You may apply for CalFresh through your county. Visit GetCalFresh.org to apply or call 1-877-847-3663 (FOOD) to be connected to your local county social service office.

Families with children eligible for free or reduce-priced meals whose school facilities are closed will be eligible to receive P-EBT. The Second Harvest Food Bank will be a major source of food for our most vulnerable families. Please consider supporting their much needed efforts with donations or volunteer time.
The Ravenswood Community Foundation (REF) is establishing an emergency fund to provide financial relief related to the school closures for families in the Ravenswood School District.
Your donation to the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula will help them distribute dinners and grocery boxes to families in need.
RISE works closely with families and educators in East Palo Alto to support students from infancy through college.
