Bay Area Mega Map of Community Resources
A team of volunteers from within and beyond Stanford is working to build a Mega Map of Bay Area resources. Our vision is to provide a fully comprehensive and up-to-date Bay Area resource list during the COVID-19 closures.
Many Bay Area residents are in dire need of important resources: free food, legal support, affordable medical care, mental health counseling, and more. We aim to share this information with those in need, through a mobile-first map and website.

Assistance with paying rent
For families residing in Palo Alto who are in need of rent assistance, there are two ways to seek assistance (no guarantees of approval) for help.
Option 1: Contact LiveMoves via the Opportunity Center directly via phone. Leave a message if no one answers - messages are being checked daily and calls returned as quick as they can get through message. https://www.lifemoves.org/directory/opportunity-services-center/
Option 2: Send the family info (name, phone number, address, school info) to me and I will forward to my contact at Opportunity Center.
Some documentation is required and applicants can go to the Opportunity Center in person or request that the application be emailed.
Trying to get PAUSD families prioritized, so anyone who you know needs assistance, get them on it NOW! PACF has funded $75K and I am hoping we'll get more donations to fund more. Lana Conway is working on a list of families from the district and I have some names from the LPN as well.
Also to answer your question on what people who can't pay rent should say or do, here is a resource guide from Community Legal Services of EPA. Although they focus on San Mateo county, the same info should be applicable in Santa Clara County as the eviction moratorium is in place here too
